Likewise, when the Independent Commission for International Humanitarian Issues was formed, Pakistan had the honour to be the first country to announce its support for the Commission and, subsequently, the follow-up mechanism that it established at the end of its mandate (i.e. the Independent Bureau for Humanitarian Issues).
