”ثنية قطرية" أو "مائلة" تصف قوام الإطار بضغط الهواء الذي يمتد فيه شريط الثنية إلى الجزء الخارجي، ويوضع بزوايا متبادلة تقل كثيراً عن 90 درجة لتثبيت الخط الأوسط للجزء الخارجي.
