In der „sauren“ Fraktion wurden die GAG bei pH 5 mit Cetyltrimethyl-ammoniumbromid (CTAB) gefällt, in der „alkalischen“ Fraktion geschah die CTAB-Fällung nach Boratzusatz zum Überstand bei pH 10.

The ‘acid” fraction was obtained by precipitation of GAG with cetyl-trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) at pH 5, the ‘alkaline’ fraction was precipitated from the supernatant at pH 10 after addition of borate buffer.
