A statement released by the NLD Central Executive Committee on June 1, 2015, following the maritime crisis in the Andaman Sea, said, “The National League for Democracy, and the party’s Chairperson [Aung San Suu Kyi], have consistently said that resolution of the communal conflict in Rakhine [Arakan] State should be founded on the principles of human rights, democracy and rule of law,” and committed to “address the issue of citizenship fairly, transparently, and as quickly as possible.”

ကပ္ပလီပင်လယ်တွင် အကျပ်အတည်းဖြစ်ပေါ်ပြီးနောက် NLD ဗဟိုအလုပ်အမှုဆောင် ကော်မတီမှ ၂၀၁၅၊ ဇွန်လတွင် ထုတ်ပြန်လိုက်သည့် ကြေညာချက်အရ “အမျိုးသားဒီမိုကရေစီ အဖွဲ့ချုပ်နှင့် ပါတီ၏ ဥက္ကဌ (အောင်ဆန်းစုကြည်) သည် အစဥ်အမြဲ ပြောခဲ့သည်မှာ ရခိုင် (အာရကန်) ပြည်နယ်ရှိ လူ့အဖွဲ့အစည်းအချင်းချင်း ပဋိပက္ခဖြစ်ခြင်းကို ဖြေရှင်းရန် လူ့အခွင့်အရေး၊ ဒီမိုကရေစီနှင့် တရားဥပဒေစိုးမိုးရေးဆိုင်ရာ စည်းမျဥ်းများ အပေါ်တွင် အခြေခံရမည်” ဖြစ်ပြီး နိုင်ငံသားဖြစ်မှု ပြဿနာကို မျှတစွာ၊ ပွင့်လင်းမြင်သာစွာနှင့် လျှင်မြန်သမျှ လျှင်လျှင်မြန်မြန် ဖြေရှင်းရန်” ကတိကဝတ်ပြုပါသည်ဟု ပါရှိပါသည်။
