The chemical and petrological studies and the mineral microprobe analyses of the rocks of the Niccioleta ore deposit allow the determination of the metasomatic reactions that have changed anhydrite rock to garnet skarn, dolomite rock to pyroxene skarn and mica schists to epidote skarn, and that have involved pyrite formation by sulfate reduction.
