Vi har alltså redan här hos Rousseau inte endast en tankegång som på pricken liknar den som Marx utvecklat i "Kapitalet", utan även i detaljerna en hel rad av samma dialektiska formuleringar som Marx använder: processer som till sin natur är antagonistiska, som i sig innehåller en motsägelse, en ytterlighets är han inte desto mindre, 23 år före Hegels födelse, svårt angripen av hegelsmittan - motsägelsedialektik, logoslära, teologi o.s.v. Och när herr Dühring i sin urvattning av den rousseauska jämlikhetsteorin opererar med sina suveräna två män, så är han redan ute på det sluttande planet och rutschar räddningslöst rätt i armarna på negationens negation.
