The representative from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) informed the Committee that, through the Integrated Technical Cooperation Programme, IMO had undertaken capacity-building activities in the Asia-Pacific region at both the international and national levels, in the areas of drafting maritime legislation, implementation and enforcement by flag and port States of IMO conventions and instruments relating to maritime safety, and environmental protection and facilitation of maritime traffic.

Le représentant de l’Organisation maritime internationale (OMI) a informé le Comité que, dans le cadre du Programme intégré de coopération technique, l’OMI avait organisé des activités de renforcement des capacités dans la région Asie-Pacifique, aux niveaux national et international, portant sur la rédaction de la législation maritime, la mise en œuvre et l’application, par les États du pavillon et les États du port, des conventions et instruments de l’OMI touchant à la sécurité maritime, la protection de l’environnement et la facilitation du trafic maritime.

Представитель Международной морской организации (ИМО) проинформировал Комитет о том, что при помощи Комплексной программы технического сотрудничества ИМО осуществляет мероприятия по укреплению потенциала в Азиатско-Тихоокеанском регионе как на международном, так и на национальном уровнях в областях разработки законодательства о морских перевозках, реализации и обеспечении выполнения положений конвенций ИМО о государствах флага и порта и инструментов, касающихся безопасного морского судоходства, охраны окружающей среды и содействия морскому судоходству.
