Es wird untersucht, ob den antagonistischen Wirkungen von Calcium und Natrium auf die isometrische Kraft des Meerschweinchen-Papillarmuskels bei einer Reizfrequenz 1/sec ein ähnlicher Antagonismus beider Ionen hinsichtlich ihres Einflusses auf den Verlauf des Aktionspotentials entspricht.

The aim of this investigation is to inquire whether the antagonism between the actions of sodium and calcium on the development of isometric force in guinea pig papillary muscle at the stimulation frequency one per second has a parallel in a similar antagonism in the influence of both ions on the course of the action potential.
