The method comprises positioning an air jet nozzle to direct an excitation stimulus at a single frequency to the apex of the eye along the optical axis of the eye; positioning a sensor to direct incident light at a fixed position of the eye distinct from the apex of the eye; exciting vibration in the eye with the excitation stimulus; directing incident light from the sensor to the fixed position of the eye; and detecting backscatter light from the eye with the sensor, to measure the vibrational response.

Le procédé consiste à positionner une buse à jet d'air pour diriger un stimulus d'excitation à une fréquence unique vers le sommet de l'œil le long de l'axe optique de l'œil ; à positionner un capteur de sorte à diriger la lumière incidente à une position fixe de l'œil distincte de l'apex de l'œil ; à exciter des vibrations dans l'œil avec le stimulus d'excitation ; à diriger la lumière incidente provenant du capteur jusqu'à la position fixe de l'œil ; et à détecter la lumière de rétrodiffusion provenant de l'œil avec le capteur pour mesurer la réponse vibratoire.
