En relación a la infraestructura, destaca la edificación de un nuevo centro penitenciario en el departamento de Lima, en el distrito de Ancón, el que se llamará "Piedras Gordas", previsto para ser culminado en un breve plazo y que permitirá reducir el hacinamiento del penal de Lurigancho en el distrito de Lima, el más poblado de todo el país
