ولوحظ مع الارتياح أن اللجنة الاقتصادية لأفريقيا قد أعادت توجيه برنامج عملها كي تتجلى فيه أهداف إعلان الألفية وأنها قد أدمجت تدابير التخطيط والميزنة والتقييم بقدر أكبر من الفعالية في عملياتها من خلال إنشاء مكتب التخطيط وتنسيق البرامج، وشعبة إدارة وتمويل الموارد الإنسانية، وشعبة المؤتمرات والخدمات العامة.

It was noted with appreciation that ECA had reoriented its work programme to reflect the goals of the Millennium Declaration and was integrating planning, budgeting and evaluation measures more effectively into its operations through the establishment of the Office of Planning and Programme Coordination, the Human Resources Management and Finance Division and the Conference and General Services Division.

Se observó con reconocimiento que la CEPA había reorientado su programa de trabajo con objeto de reflejar los objetivos fijados en la Declaración del Milenio y estaba integrando la planificación, la presupuestación y las medidas de evaluación más eficazmente en sus actividades mediante el establecimiento de la Oficina de Planificación y Coordinación de Programas, la División de Gestión de Recursos Humanos y Finanzas y la División de Conferencias y Servicios Generales.

On a noté avec satisfaction que la CEA avait réorienté son programme de travail pour tenir compte des objectifs énoncés dans la Déclaration du Millénaire et qu’elle intégrait les mécanismes de planification, de budgétisation et d’évaluation de manière plus efficace dans ses opérations grâce à la création du Bureau de la planification et de la coordination des programmes, de la Division de la gestion des ressources humaines et des finances et de la Division des conférences et des services généraux.
