The ability to modify the size of the structure was accomplished by using telescopic structures with beams that were able to slide within one another and by changing to longer beams or plates accordingly. For reusability it was important to make sure that the size of the structure could be made small enough that transporting it back to the factory was sensible.

Molemmista vaihtoehdoista tehtiin tarkat 3D-mallit joiden avulla niiden muoto alkoi selventyä. Säädettävyys toteutettiin erilaisin teleskooppiratkaisuin sekä vaihtamalla eri pituisia palkkeja tai levyjä tilanteen mukaan. Toiveena oli, että takaisinkuljetusta varten rakenteet voitaisiin purkaa ja taittaa mahdollisimman pieneen tilaan, jotta kuljettaminen takaisin olisi järkevää.
