The Afghan Interim Authority Fund was succeeded by the World Bank-administered Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund, which aimed at channelling multilateral funding to support the national development plan, and by the Law and Order Trust Fund for Afghanistan, which provided a dedicated United Nations window to support security sector reform, including the payment of policemen's salaries and building the capacity of the police force
