Der Vorschlag der Kommission KOM (2000) 574 für eine Verordnung des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates mit Hygienevorschriften für nicht für den menschlichen Verzehr bestimmte tierische Nebenprodukte bezweckt die Zusammenfügung aller geltenden Rechtsvorschriften in einer kohärenten Verordnung, mit der das gesamte Problem abgedeckt wird, d.h. die Klassifizierung, Behandlung, Verwendung und Vernichtung dieser Produkte.

The aim of the Commission proposal for a European Parliament and Council regulation laying down the health rules concerning animal by-products not intended for human consumption (COM(2000) 574) is to incorporate all of the applicable rules into a coherent regulation covering all aspects of the problem, namely the classification, treatment, use and disposal of such by-products.
