Území tvořené obcemi Boticas, Chaves a Montalegre je označované a známé jako Barroso. V tomto zvláštním případě je území rozšířeno o výše uvedené sousední obce z důvodu podobných podmínek produkce jehněčího masa a stejnorodé kvality jatečně upravených těl zvířat produkovaných v těchto podmínkách.
