There are non frequent cases where the size of the nose must be enlarged in a significant way, therefore tissue graft must be taken from other sites such as are the auricular building, the rib cartilage, hip bone, from the elbow or from the head front parietal region.

Se realiza un par de incisiones internas en cada fosa nasal, sin que sea visible externamente, se exponen los cartílagos que le dan soporte a la nariz y se retira parte de estos para adelgazar la punta nasal. Sólo se harán cicatrices externas en caso de que haya que angostar las fosas nasales, siendo la cicatriz en la base de la nariz, de corta longitud.
