Both acoustic parameters had been studied in the vocalic sound /a/ because this is one of the most frequently phonemes in Mexican Spanish.Four different corpus have been analyzed to evaluate the discriminatory capacity of both acoustic parameters on two types of speech production – reading and a semi-spontaneous corpus – and in different measurements of time – in apparent and real time corpus.Results indicate that dynamics of F1, F2 and F3 frequencies are more informative of the characteristics of individual speakers than the measure of the midpoint.

Los dos parámetros acústicos se han estudiado en el sonido vocálico /a/ ya que es uno de los fonemas más frecuentes en el español. Además, en esta tesis se han analizado cuatro tipos de corpus con el fin de evaluar la capacidad discriminatoria de los dos parámetros acústicos independientemente del estilo de habla – corpus de habla leída y corpus de habla semi-espontánea – y del tiempo en el que se miden – corpus en tiempo aparente y corpus en tiempo real.
