The petitioners state that on June 17, 2001, five members of the Judicial Police of the State of Guerrero violently entered the home of Mr. Faustino Jiménez Álvarez while he was sleeping. They set upon him, beating him and questioning him as to the whereabouts of his boss, José Valle Álvarez, who had been kidnapped several days before. Under threat that they would kill his wife and other family members, they took Mr. Faustino Jiménez away and caused him to disappear.

Los peticionarios expresan que el día 17 de junio de 2001, cinco miembros de la Policía Judicial del Estado de Guerrero de forma violenta ingresaron al domicilio del señor Faustino Jiménez Álvarez, cuando se encontraba durmiendo, se abalanzaron sobre él, lo golpearon, le preguntaron por el paradero de su patrón José Valle Álvarez, quien días antes había sido secuestrado, y bajo amenazas de matar a su esposa y demás familiares, se llevaron y desaparecieron al señor Faustino Jiménez.
