بينما تنصُّ المادة 412 جيم من القانون الجنائي على حماية الضحايا من الضرر الذي قد يلحقه بهم المتهم، تندرج الحماية العامة للشهود والخبراء الذين أدلوا بشهادة في الإجراءات الجنائية ضمن المادتين 95 (الإهانة أو التهديد أو الضرر البدني الممارس على موظف عمومي آخر) و101 (الاتهامات التشهيرية).

While the protection of victims from potential harm by the accused is granted by CC Article 412C, the general protection for witnesses and experts who testify in criminal proceedings falls under Article 95 (vilification, threats or bodily harm against other public officer) and Article 101 (calumnious accusations).
