Κύριε Πρόεδρε, θα ήθελα να σας παρακαλέσω να ασχοληθείτε για λίγο με μία επιστολή την οποία λάβαμε από τον κ. Balfe εξ ονόματος του Σώματος των κοσμητόρων, όπου με θέμα την αυριανή ημέρα χωρίς αυτοκίνητο στις Βρυξέλλες, κάλεσε τις αρχές της πόλης των Βρυξελλών να κάνουν μια εξαίρεση για την περιοχή γύρω από το Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο όπου θέλει να μπορέσουν να κυκλοφορήσουν ελεύθερα ορισμένα αυτοκίνητα, για παράδειγμα από εδώ μέχρι το Zaventem και μέχρι το σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό.

Mr President, I would ask you to turn your attention briefly to a letter which we received from Mr Balfe, on behalf of the College of Quaestors, in which, referring to the car-free day tomorrow in Brussels, he has requested the Brussels authorities make an exception for the area around the European Parliament. He would like to ensure that a limited number of cars are able to drive from here to Zaventem and to the railway stations, for example.

Señor Presidente, quisiera pedirles que guarden silencio ante la carta que hemos recibido del Sr. Balfe, en nombre del Colegio de Cuestores, en la que, con motivo del día sin coches mañana en Bruselas, ha pedido a las autoridades de esta ciudad que hagan una excepción para la zona que rodea al Parlamento Europeo; y en la que se ocupa de que algunos coches puedan ir de aquí, por ejemplo, a Zaventem y al tren.

Mijnheer de Voorzitter, ik zou u willen vragen om even stil te staan bij een brief die wij van de heer Balfe hebben gekregen, namens het College van Quaestoren, waarin hij, met als onderwerp de autovrije dag morgen in Brussel het verzoek heeft gericht aan de Brusselse autoriteiten tot een uitzonderingssituatie voor de streek rondom het Europees Parlement, waarbij hij wil zorgen dat er nog een aantal auto's kunnen rijden van hier bijvoorbeeld naar Zaventem en naar het spoor.

Senhor Presidente, gostaria de lhe pedir que se detenha brevemente numa carta que recebemos do senhor Balfe, em nome do Colégio de Questores, na qual, sobre o tema do "dia europeu sem carros" - que terá lugar amanhã, aqui em Bruxelas -, ele terá dirigido um pedido às autoridades de Bruxelas no sentido de abrirem uma excepção para a zona em torno do Parlamento Europeu, no intuito de zelar por que alguns veículos possam deslocar-se, por exemplo, do Parlamento para Zaventem ou para a estação de caminhos-de-ferro.
