وفي تلك الحقبة، أُجبرت مجتمعات الطوارق والغولا التي كانت تتمسك بأقاليم تامسنا (آرليت)، على الارتحال إلى أقصى الجنوب دون الحق في التعبير عن آرائها أو حتى إمكانية المطالبة بفرصة عمل في الصناعات الاستخراجية.
