Such outreach includes production and paid placement in the local media of advertisements and public service announcements in the local and English languages, participation of senior Mission staff in local radio and television programmes; establishment of a “UNAMSIL News” programme for local television; organization of journalists' tours on UNAMSIL patrols and to UNAMSIL sectors; organization of journalists' training programmes in cooperation with the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); and strategy meetings with individual editors and journalists to explain and clarify the position of UNAMSIL on key issues and to correct any erroneous reporting on the Mission
