ويشير تضارب المصالح عامة إلى أي حالة أو ظروف قد يبدو فيها أن أحد الموظفين ينتفع دون وجه حق، أو يسمح لغيره بالانتفاع دون وجه حق، من مشاركته في إدارة مؤسسة لها أي علاقة أو معاملة تجارية مع المنظمة، أو من حيازته لمصلحة مالية في تلك المؤسسة.

Generally, conflict of interest refers to any situation or circumstance in which a staff member would appear to benefit improperly, or to allow a third party to benefit improperly, from an association in the management or the holding of a financial interest in an enterprise that engages in any business or transaction with the Organization.
