The lighting concept for the individual forums, as the experts described, is based on specific fundamentals: “monodirectional for the Forum of Augustus, axial for the Forum of Nerva, and centrifugal for Forum of Trajan.” By employing the imagery of light, each forum stands out with emphasis on their central elements, whilst warm white light (3000K) illuminates each of their characteristic architectural details, all other areas of the forums are illuminated using neutral white light (4000K).

Het fundamentele lichtconcept voor de individuele fora is, zoals de ontwerpers het uitdrukken, het volgende: „monodirectioneel (d.w.z. slechts in één richting lopend) voor het Forum van Augustus, axiaal voor het Forum van Nerva en centrifugaal voor het Forum van Trajanus.“ Daarbij wordt de symboliek van het licht gebruikt om de centrale elementen van elk individueel forum te accentueren. Warmwit licht (3000K) verlicht telkens de karakteristieke architectonische details. Voor de overige zones van de fora wordt neutraalwit licht (4000K) gebruikt.
