Consequently, despite the fact that his is still considered to be an emerging technique, peroral cholangioscopy is increasingly being used as a very useful tool for diagnosis and treatment of various pancreatic and biliary diseases including cholangiocarcinoma, giant calculi, stenoses and small polyps.
