تنص المادة 1 من قانون تكافؤ الفرص والإدماج الاجتماعي للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة على أن هدفه يتمثل في "ضمان الحق في تكافؤ الفرص للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، لتحقيق إدماجهم الاجتماعي على أكمل وجه، مع ضمان تمتعهم بحقوقهم والقضاء على أي شكل من أشكال التمييز القائم على الإعاقة".

As stated in its article 1, the purpose of the Equal Opportunities and Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities Act is to ensure the right to equal opportunities for persons with disabilities in order to attain their full social inclusion, guarantee the enjoyment of their rights and eliminate all forms of discrimination on the basis of disability.

El artículo 1° de la LIOISPD dispone que su objeto será “asegurar el derecho a la igualdad de oportunidades de las PcD, con el fin de obtener su plena inclusión social, asegurando el disfrute de sus derechos y eliminando cualquier forma de discriminación fundada en la discapacidad”.
