For 20 years, the Royal Thai Embassy and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Japan have organized Thai Festival events every year. In addition, the Japanese private sector who are "Friends of Thailand" also organized similar events. As such, Thai Fair Akashi 2019, held for the second time this year, is considered one of the goodwill activities which help the Royal Thai Embassy and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Japan to promote Thailand and strengthen Thai - Japan relations at the people-to-people level.

สถานเอกอัครราชทูตและสถานกงสุลใหญ่ไทยในญี่ปุ่นได้จัดงานเทศกาลไทยที่กรุงโตเกียวและนครโอซากาเป็นประจําทุกปีอย่างต่อเนื่องมาแล้ว ๒๐ ปี ปัจจุบัน ภาคเอกชนต่าง ๆ ของญี่ปุ่นได้เริ่มจัดงานในลักษณะเดียวกัน เช่น งาน Thai Fair Akashi ๒๐๑๙ ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเป็นปีที่สอง นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งกิจกรรมที่มีส่วนช่วยสนับสนุนภารกิจของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตและสถานกงสุลใหญ่ไทยในญี่ปุ่นในการประชาสัมพันธ์ประเทศไทย และเป็นกิจกรรมที่ช่วยกระชับความสัมพันธ์ภาคประชาชนระหว่างสองประเทศได้เป็นอย่างดี
