ومن المقرر افتتاح المركز الحدودي الواحد لجميع العمليات في شيروندو رسميا في أيلول/سبتمبر 2009، بعد عامين من المفاوضات المعقدة بين الجارتين زامبيا وزمبابوي، التي أفضت إلى اتفاق ثنائي يغطي ما هو مطلوب من حيث الإطار القانوني والإجراءات وتعديلات البنية الأساسية من أجل تحسين تدفق المرور.

The planned one-stop border post at Chirundu is expected to open officially in September 2009, after two years of complex negotiations between neighbouring Zambia and Zimbabwe, which produced a bilateral agreement covering the legal framework, procedures and infrastructure adjustments needed to improve the traffic flow.
