Im Feldzug von 1814 konnte Schwarzenberg Napoleon am 20. März in der Schlacht von Arcis sur Aube standhalten und zog am 31. März 1814 nach der Schlacht bei Paris siegreich in Paris ein. Schwarzenberg wurde von den drei siegreichen Monarchen reichlich ausgezeichnet und von Kaiser Franz I. zum Präsidenten des Hofkriegsrats bestellt.

He repelled an attack by Napoleon in the Battle of Arcis-sur-Aube on 20–21 March and overcame the last barrier before Paris by winning the Battle of Fère-Champenoise on 25 March. His capture of the French capital on 31 March after the Battle of Paris resulted in the overthrow of Napoleon.[citation needed]
