وكانت الاستنتاجات العامة التي جرى التوصل إليها هي أن استخدام مشغلي الجولات السياحية لمصطلح ”السياحة البيئية“ في التسويق والترويج ظل محدودا نسبيا وأن قطاع السياحة الذي توافق بالدرجة الأوثق مع مفهوم السياحة البيئية مثل حصة صغيرة نسبيا من السوق.

The overall conclusions reached were that the use of the term “ecotourism” in marketing and promotion by tour operators remained relatively limited and that the tourism sector most closely matching the concept of ecotourism represented a relatively small share of the market.
