With regard to threats, intimidation and harassment, he said that, when the Supreme Court was informed that a judge had been threatened, it requested the security forces to provide protection, as in the recent case of a judge whose car had been attacked in Cobán; the judge had, astonishingly, survived.

En cuanto a las amenazas, intimidaciones y hostigamientos, el orador señala que cuando se informa a la Corte Suprema de Justicia de que se ha amenazado a algún juez, ésta solicita su protección por parte de las fuerzas de seguridad, como en el caso reciente de una jueza cuyo vehículo fue atacado en Cobán y ésta se salvó inexplicablemente.
