إن السلام الذي يتطلع إليه العرب هو السلام المبني على إعادة الحقوق المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني، وفي مقدمتها إقامة الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة المتصلة الأراضي والقابلة للحياة على التراب الوطني الفلسطيني، وعاصمتها القدس، وفقا للمرجعيات الدولية ذات الصلة ولمبادرة السلام العربية، التي تشكل منطلقا أساسيا لمعالجة مختلف جوانب الصراع العربي- الإسرائيلي
