Japanese Economy is estimated to grow by 2.3 percent, improved from the contraction by 0.8 percent in 2011. Even though the notable expansion of Japanese economy during the first half have resulted from the increase of export, investment and reconstruction after tsunami disaster, however, the Japanese yen appreciation and global economic slowdown have remained to be constraints to the expansion of export and private investment during the second half of 2012, reflected by the decline of industrial production index of 8.0 percent (annualized rate) in the second quarter.

เศรษฐกิจญี่ปุ่นคาดว่าจะขยายตวัร้อยละ 2.3 เทยีบกับการหดตัวร้อยละ 0.8 ในปี 2554 แต่ยงัมีความเสี่ยงจากการแขง็ค่าของเงินเยนและการชะลอตัวของเศรษฐกิจโลก เศรษฐกิจญี่ปุ่น คาดว่าจะขยายตัวร้อยละ 2.3 เทียบกับการหดตัวร้อยละ 0.8 ในปี 2554 แม้ว่าการขยายตัวของภาคส่งออก การลงทุนและรายจ่ายเพื่อการฟื้นฟูบูรณะประเทศจะส่งผลให้เศรษฐกิจในครึ่งปีแรกจะขยายตัวในเกณฑ์ที่น่าพอใจ แต่การแข็งค่าของเงินเยนและการชะลอตัวของเศรษฐกิจโลกยังเป็นข้อจํากัดของการขยายตัวของภาคการส่งออกและการลงทุนภาคเอกชนในช่วงครึ่งหลังของปีซึ่งจะเห็นได้จากการปรับตัวลดลงของดัชนีผลผลิตอุตสาหกรรมร้อยละ 8.0 (Annualized rate) ในไตรมาสที่สอง
