본 발명에 따른 생물막 및 호기성 그래뉼 슬러지를 이용한 하·폐수 처리장치는 기존 고도처리에서 도입하지 않았던 호기성 그래뉼 슬러지를 반응조 상부에 도입하여 순간적인 유기물 충격부하가 발생하여도 안정적인 유기물 제거가 가능하고, 호기성 그래뉼 슬러지 내에 층별로 존재하는 슬러지 군집에 의하여 질산화 및 탈질도 원활히 진행시킬 수 있는 동시에, 그래뉼화된 슬러지의 높은 침강성으로 빠른 시간내에 고액분리가 가능함에 따라 원활한 후처리공정 운영이 가능할 뿐만 아니라, 기계설비 및 처리기능에 따른 부가설비가 대폭 축소되어 설비 및 유지비용을 절감할 수 있고, 반응조 하부의 생물막과의 결합으로 유기물, 인 및 질소의 제거효율을 극대화시킬 수 있다.
