It is advised to guarantee three elements necessary to let the trauma centers keep the role they were given: concentration of the treatment of multi trauma’s in trauma centers, more attention to the importance of the trauma registration in the prevention of accidents of damage as a result of accidents and finally the further filling out of the role they were given in the organization of care during major incidents.

De borging van drie elementen wordt geadviseerd om de traumacentra de rol te geven of te laten behouden die hun destijds werd toegedicht: concentratie van multitrauma’s in traumacentra, meer aandacht voor het belang van de traumaregistratie bij preventie van ongevallen of schade als gevolg van ongevallen en ten slotte, het verder invullen van de rol die de traumacentra bij de rampenopvang werd toegedicht.
