وعند الاستفسار، أُبلغت اللجنة الاستشارية أن الأمين العام سيدعو إلى عقد المؤتمر، وأن الممثل الخاص المشترك سيضطلع بدور الوسيط بين طرفي النزاع السوريين في إطار المفاوضات السورية الداخلية.

Upon enquiry, the Advisory Committee was informed that the Secretary-General would convene the conference and that the Joint Special Representative would mediate between the Syrian sides within the framework of intra-Syrian negotiations.
