وأعادت الوفود تأكيد أن ولاية الأونكتاد تتألف من ثلاث ركائز - بناء توافق الآراء، والبحث والتحليل، والتعاون التقني - وأعادت تأكيد دور الأونكتاد بوصفه جهة الوصل في منظومة الأمم المتحدة من أجل المعالجة المتكاملة لمسائل التجارة والتنمية والمسائل المترابطة في مجالات المالية والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة.

Delegations reaffirmed that UNCTAD’s mandate consisted of three pillars – consensus-building, research and analysis, and technical cooperation – and reiterated the role of UNCTAD as the focal point in the United Nations system for the integrated treatment of trade and development and for interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development.

Les délégations ont redit que le mandat de la CNUCED reposait sur trois piliers − formation de consensus, recherche et analyse et coopération technique − et ont réaffirmé le rôle de la CNUCED en tant que principal organisme du système des Nations Unies chargé d’assurer le traitement intégré du commerce et du développement et des questions associées dans les domaines du financement, de la technologie, de l’investissement et du développement durable.
