Since 1986, Brazil has already had seven places included in the list of the Natural Treasures of Humanity: The National Park of Iguaçu; the Atlantic Forest: The Reservations of the Southeast; the Discovery Coast: Reservations of the Atlantic Forest; the Complex of Preservation of the Central Amazonian Area; The Preservation Area of the Pantanal (Swampland); Protected Areas of the Cerrado (Brazilian Savannah): Veadeiros Plateau and the Emas’ National Park (National Park of the Emuses); and the Brazilian Atlantic Islands: The Reservations of Fernando de Noronha and the Rocas’ Atoll (Atol das Rocas).
