وقال إن وفده بعد أن درس بعناية الاقتراح المقدم من الخبير المستقل المعني بالحق في التنمية فيما يتعلق بمفهوم التنمية، يرى أن الظروف المرتبطة بهذا المفهوم غير مقبولة على الإطلاق، نظرا لأنها تشكل جزءا من محاولات إضفاء الشرعية على النظم التجارية الدولية التمييزية عن طريق فرض شروط معاكسة على البلدان النامية.

Having carefully considered the proposal by the Independent Expert on the Right to Development regarding the “development compact”, his delegation considered the conditions attached to that concept totally unacceptable, since they were part of attempts to legitimize discriminatory international trade regimes by imposing cross conditionalities on developing countries.

Tras examinar detenidamente la propuesta del experto independiente sobre el derecho al desarrollo respecto del “pacto para el desarrollo”, el Pakistán considera totalmente inaceptables las condiciones ajenas a este concepto, ya que se trata de un intento de legitimar regímenes discriminatorios de comercio internacional mediante la imposición de condiciones a los países en desarrollo.

Après avoir longuement étudié la proposition de l’Expert indépendant sur le droit au développement concernant le « Pacte pour le développement », le Pakistan considère totalement inacceptables les conditions étrangères à cette notion, car il s’agit d’un effort de légitimation des régimes discriminatoires du commerce international par l’imposition de certaines conditions aux pays en développement.

Внимательно изучив предложение независимого эксперта по вопросу о праве на развитие в отношении «пакта в целях развития», Пакистан считает абсолютно неприемлемыми условия, чуждые этой концепции, поскольку речь идет о намерении узаконить дискриминационные режимы международной торговли посредством навязывания условий развивающимся странам.
