अहिले नेपालमा लगभग ८० बढि आइटी कलेजहरु सञ्चालनमा छन भने बर्षेनी एक दर्जन कलेज थपिरहेका छन । नेपालमा रहेका विश्वविद्यालयहरुले पनि आइटी शिक्षाको गुणस्तर सुधार्न खासै पहल गरिरहको देखिदैन । जथाभावी सम्वन्धन दिने र पैसा असुल्ने लहडमा कतिपय विश्वविद्यालय छन । यसर्थ विश्वकै ठुलो उद्योगको रुपमा स्थापित भइरहेको आइटी क्षेत्रको लागि नेपालमा गुणस्तरिय उच्च शिक्षा प्रदान गर्ने आइटी तथा विश्वविद्यालयको स्थापना हुन जरुरी छ । जसले नेपालको आइटी उद्योगको विकासमा महत्वपुर्ण योगदान दिने र सरकारी क्षेत्रमा आइसिटीको क्षेत्रबाट आमुल परिवर्तन गर्न सक्ने हुनुपर्दछ । आइटी क्षेत्र र विश्वविद्यालयको ग्यापलाई घटाउदै अब खुल्ला आइटी विश्वविद्यालयको अवधारणालाई सरकार र नीजी क्षेत्रले पनि सोच्ने पो हो कि?
