It may be mistaken with: Suillus collinitus (Fries) Kuntze, which, however, has the cap of a darker brown colour and has, on the cuticle of the cap, some dark radial fibrillae and pink basal mycelium; Suillus bellinii (Inzenga) Watling, which, however, has a paler, almost whitish, cuticle, especially in the young specimens, and the tubules slightly decurrent on the stem; Suillus mediterraneensis (Jacquetant & Blum) Redeuilh, which however has the cuticle with thin innate fibrillae and the colour which, when ripe, is olive-brown ochraceous, the flesh more markedly yellowish and with a prevalent habitat under the of MUSHROOMS and find other species, please click here.

Se puede confundir con: Suillus collinitus (Fries) Kuntze, pero que tiene el sombrero de color más oscuro marrón cargado, presenta, sobre la cutícula del sombrero, fibrillas radiales oscuros y el micelio basal rosa; Suillus bellinii (Inzenga) Watling, pero que tiene una cutícula blancuzca, especialmente en los hongos jóvenes, los túbulos ligeramente decurrentes sobre el pie; Suillus mediterraneensis (Jacquetant & Blum) Redeuilh, pero que tiene la cutícula con finas fibrillas innatas y el color, que en su madurez, es marrón-ocre. Oliváceo, la carne más marcadamente amarillenta y el hábitat prevalentemente bajo Pinus halepensis. Basionimo: Boletus granulatus Linnaeus (1753).
