自動ブレーキ制御を用いて車両の障害物への衝突回避を支援する制動制御装置であって、車両の減速度を検知する減速度検知手段と、所定期間における、前記検知された減速度と当該検知された減速度に対応する要求減速度との乖離度合の変化に基づいて、前記自動ブレーキ装置の制動力を制御する制御手段とを備え、前記所定期間は、前記自動ブレーキ装置への作動指示が行われた時点から前記要求減速度が予め定められた目標減速度に達する時点までの制動力立ち上がり期間に含まれる期間であることを特徴とする。
