• Mother-To-Child HIV Prevention – $48,779 for 3 years to Ve'ahavta (the Canadian Jewish Humanitarian Relief Committee) and the Salvation Army Howard Hospital for work in Zimbabwe to carry out voluntary and confidential HIV testing of pregnant women and will provide AZT during labour and to the child after birth; a counselling and education programme for women who are HIV positive; and family planning to couples.

• Prévention de la transmission du VIH de la mère à l'enfant – Contribution de 48 779 $ sur trois ans au Ve'ahavta (comité judéo-canadien de secours humanitaires) et à l'hôpital Howard de l'Armée du salut pour le dépistage volontaire et confidentiel du VIH auprès de femmes enceintes du Zimbabwe. Le projet permettra aussi d'administrer de l'AZT aux femmes séropositives pendant l'accouchement, de même qu'à l'enfant après sa naissance; d'offrir un programme de counselling et d'éducation aux femmes séropositives et d'offrir un service de planification familiale à l'intention des couples.
