A monitoring system for a wind power generator comprises: a microphone (90, 91) that acquires acoustic data and that is disposed in the interior of a nacelle (30) in which a main shaft (50), gearbox (60), power generator (70) and main shaft bearing (80) for a wind power generator (10) are retained; a data collecting device (92) (data collecting unit) that collects the acoustic data and transmits the data to a server (101) on the Internet (102); the server (101) (comparative diagnosing unit) that stores, compares, and diagnoses the transmitted data; and a monitoring terminal (100) (display/monitoring unit) that displays and monitors the diagnostic results.
