بيد أنه إذا رأت محكمة العدل الدولية أن تأخر دخول المعاهدة المتعلقة بنظام حدود الدولة حيز النفاذ ناتج عن تقصير الطرف الآخر، فإن بإمكانها النظر في الطلب المتعلق بتعيين حدود الجرف القاري والمنطقتين الاقتصاديتين الخالصتين قبل دخول المعاهدة حيز النفاذ“.

However, should the International Court of Justice consider that the delay of the entering into force of the Treaty on the regime of the State border is the result of the other Party’s fault, it may examine the request concerning the delimitation of the continental shelf and the exclusive economic zones before the entering into force of this Treaty.”
