The selection of consultants for immediate recruitment and for the reserve list will be made from the following areas of expertise: - Environmental monitoring, network design, data handling, analysis and reporting; - Forest condition and/or other land use/cover data collection (including remote sensing), management, analysis and presentation; - Integrated assessment and reporting on the environment (its state, trends and pressures); - Environment meta-data, catalogues of data sources and thesauri; - Environmental report publishing; - Library/information science in an environmental context; - Oracle database management; - ARC-INFO GIS for storing, analysing and presenting environmental information; - LAN/WAN design, implementation and management; - Unix and/or Windows-based systems support.
