وذكر ممثل حكومة تركيا أن تلك المنظمة قامت في الدورة الثامنة والخمسين للجنة حقوق الإنسان بتعميم وثيقة معنونة “الحقوق المدنية والسياسية، بما فيها مسألة حرية التعبير” (E/CN.4/2002/NGO/30) تضمنت ادعاءات تشكك في السلامة الإقليمية لتركيا من خلال وصف منطقة بونتوس وتركيا بأنهما كيانان منفصلان.

The representative of the Government of Turkey stated that, at the fifty-eighth session of the Commission on Human Rights, the NGO had distributed a document entitled “Civil and political rights, including the question of freedom of expression” (E/CN.4/2002/NGO/30), which contained allegations that challenged the territorial integrity of Turkey by describing the region of Pontos and Turkey as two separate entities.

El representante del Gobierno de Turquía dijo que, en el 58° período de sesiones de la Comisión de Derechos Humanos, la Liga había distribuido un documento titulado “Civil and political rights, including the questions of: ‘freedom of expression’” (E/CN.4/2002/NGO/30), que contenía acusaciones contra Turquía y atentaba contra su integridad territorial porque describía una región a la que denominaba “Pontos” como una entidad separada de Turquía.

Представитель правительства Турции заявил, что на пятьдесят восьмой сессии Комиссии по правам человека эта НПО распространила документ, озаглавленный «Гражданские и политические права, включая вопрос о свободе слова» (E/CN.4/2002/NGO/30), в котором содержались утверждения, ставящие под сомнение территориальную целостность Турции, поскольку в нем район «Понтос» и Турция обозначены в качестве двух отдельных образований.
