The present invention relates to a method for regenerating a spent sputtering target, and a sputtering target regenerated thereby, the method comprising: (S1) a step for removing impurities from the surface of a spent sputtering target; (S2) a step for injecting the spent sputtering target, from which the impurities have been removed, into a mold; (S3) a step for forming a laminate by filling the spent sputtering target injected into the mold with raw material powder and planarizing the spent sputtering target; (S4) a step for forming a molded body by applying compression to the laminate; and (S5) a step of sintering the molded body.
