This was in association with a 9.3 percent decrease of Agricultural Product Index attributed by (i) a 55.9 percent decrease of paddy production, continuously dropped from a 37.5 percent contraction in the previous quarter, caused by drought in May, (ii) a 17.4 percent decrease of oil palm production, caused by drought during 2014-2015, and (iii) a 18.5 percent decrease of fruit production, especially southern Langsat and mangosteen, caused by unfavorable weather. However, other agricultural productions expanded, namely cassava, rubber, and livestock with the growth rate of 2.4, 3.6, and 5.7 percent, respectively. Agricultural Price Index decreased by 4.8 percent for 7th consecutive quarters.

สาขาเกษตรกรรม: ปรับตัวลดลงตามการลดลงของผลผลิตพืชเกษตรสําคัญซึ่งได้รับผลกระทบจากปัญหาภัยแล้ง และราคาสินค้าที่ยังอยู่ในระดับต่ํา ในไตรมาสที่สามของปี 2558 การผลิตสาขาเกษตรกรรมลดลงร้อยละ 5.7 เทียบกับการลดลงร้อยละ 6.2 ในไตรมาสที่สองของปี 2558 สอดคล้องกับการลดลงของดัชนีผลผลิตสินค้าเกษตรร้อยละ 9.3 เนื่องจาก (1) ผลผลิตข้าวนาปีได้รับผลกระทบจากสภาพอากาศ แห้งแล้งในช่วงต้นฤดูฝน (พฤษภาคม 2558) ทําให้ผลผลิตบางส่วนเสียหายและจําเป็นต้องเลื่อน การเพาะปลูกออกไปในบางพื้นที่ ซึ่งส่งผลให้การผลิตข้าวเปลือกลดลงร้อยละ 55.9 ต่อเนื่องจากการลดลงร้อยละ 37.5 ในไตรมาสที่สองของปี 2558 (2) ผลผลิตปาล์มน้ํามันในภาคใต้ได้รับผลกระทบจากปัญหา ภัยแล้งที่เกิดขึ้นติดต่อกันในปี 2557 - 2558 ทําให้ผลผลิตลดลงร้อยละ 17.4 และ (3) ผลผลิตผลไม้ลดลง โดยเฉพาะลองกองและมังคุด จากสภาพอากาศที่ไม่เหมาะสม
