The main objective of this exploratory descriptive research was to identify the strategies developed by children between 7 and 12 years old from southwest Bogotá to cope with punishment and to adapt themselves to their sociocultural and home environments.

La investigación, de tipo exploratorio descriptivo, identifica las estrategias desarrolladas por veinte niños, de 7 a 12 años del suroriente de la ciudad de Bogotá, para afrontar el castigo y adaptarse a su entorno sociocultural y doméstico.
